Surf and Skate to Spay Auction - LIVE NOW (8/23 - 8/30, 2025) 🤙
My journey into animal rescue and advocacy started in August 2010 when I saw a small white dog running through traffic. I spent the next several hours trying to trap her and bring her to safety. Her name was Daisy and she was my trusted companion for 10 years. Daisy‘s resilience and zest for life inspired me to volunteer in our local animal shelters. During a 9-year time span, my husband and I fostered 47 dogs of all breeds, sizes and medical needs for 2 local rescues. I was able to experience firsthand the impact time and dedication can have on these loving souls. It has been the most rewarding experience of my life.
My husband Robert and I adopted Pepe, a 3-legged, boxer/bulldog mix, 2 years ago. Pepe was found in rural Mexico after sustaining a severe injury to his left rear leg. He is the happiest tripod who loves eating green vegetables, taking long road trips, hunting lizards and going for long hikes in the mountains. We are so grateful to give him a chance to have a beautiful life!
I learned of SFS while traveling in Troncones, MX. In Feb 2025, I volunteered at an SFS sponsored Spay and Neuter Clinic. I was very impressed with the support SFS is providing the local families and the significant impact SFS has made to reduce the pet population.
I’m currently assisting with bookkeeping and administrative duties. I proudly wear my SFS attire when traveling and engaging my local community. I am passionate about promoting the SFS mission and spreading the Mucho Aloha spirit🌈🤙🐾
