Surfers for Strays is looking for detail-oriented, kind-hearted, animal-loving people that are willing to give these mexi-mutts lots of love and the opportunity to lead healthy and happy lives. We need help feeding, medicating, walking, advertising, and generally preparing our rescued dogs to become healthy enough to be adopted.

Surfers for Strays works across many locations to meet the needs of the local area. We have our Headquarters in Nuevo Troncones and a shelter run by Jenny in Zihuatanejo.

Types of Volunteers Needed:

  • Day volunteers and visitors who are staying nearby can help out with daily tasks at our Headquarters, at our shelter in Zihuatanejo, or at one of our Spay and Neuter Campaigns. Tasks include: bathing, walking, and training our dogs. If you are interested please email apply@surfersforstrays.org

  • One on-site volunteer will live at our Headquarters (this position is booked months in advance). To apply click here.

If you are interested in helping Surfers for Strays save lives one paw at a time, please apply to join our team of volunteers in Mexico.
