Surf and Skate to Spay Auction - LIVE NOW (8/23 - 8/30, 2025) 🤙
I’m a 3 rd generation native San Diegan. I love surfing, extreme mountain biking and mountain unicycling, all of which provide my perfect cocktail of adrenaline and endorphins. I’m a UCSD alumni whose past jobs include a research scientist in immunology, a tour guide, a massage therapist and holistic health practitioner, and currently I’m the office manager for a surfing chiropractor in Del Mar.
I met my husband Andy in 2001 while mountain biking. Together we love adventures that include mtn biking and mtn unicycling in exotic places. We have two adopted dogs, Ellie – an easy-going independent girl whose goals in life include catching anything that wiggles, hops, flutters or burrows, and Ceviche – a mexi-mutt from Zihuatanjo who vacillates between being a cuddly needy baby and a barking lunging maniac. None of us are perfect but we support each other with lots of love and patience.
After the heartbreaking loss of our dog to cancer, Andy and I started fostering dogs to help cope with our loss. We weren’t ready for another life-long commitment or full-time dog, and we found fostering to be the most rewarding experience. Through the surf community, I learned about Surfers for Strays and a purposeful connection was forged.
As one of the founding Board Members of SFS, I draw on my experience gained during my 10-years on the Board of the San Diego Mountain Biking Association. I use my innate tendency to fact check and be detail oriented to manage the accounting and ensure our 501c3 stays compliant. My natural desire to help animals and people is satisfied by my role overseeing all of our programs and supporting our volunteers.
