A few years ago, I discovered our OG SFS girl Fawn (formerly Ivy) who helped me transition from tech leadership to launching my own business. Today, I provide Executive Coaching, Life Coaching, and Organizational Consulting with Fawn and our recent SFS foster-fail Bodhi (formerly Paipo) sleeping by my side. They're the best teammates I've ever had... until a delivery arrives!
Fawn is the most intelligent and intuitive dog I've ever known. Plus respectful; who knew a dog wouldn't eat your unsupervised sandwich if you didn't say 'yes' when she asked politely for 'help' while you were in the shower?! Fawn is a fierce protector and a master snugglebug who enforces all the house rules on her brother Bodhi and Pez (our 12-year-old male catdog). We also have three fancy goldfish and a handful of platy fish.
I was so grateful for Fawn that I wanted to pay back my gratitude with action so began volunteering as a Foster Medical Records Coordinator. The more I learned about the impact SFS volunteers have on reducing pregnancies, feeding street dogs, providing medical services, fostering, and finding adoptive families and arranging international transports, the more I wanted to pitch in and help them succeed!
I am currently an Adoption Coordinator for Seattle and Vancouver, BC. It is super fulfilling to interview and approve forever families (with Fawn and Bodhi in attendance) but my absolute favorite part is receiving periodic updates and photos from joyful families and blissful SFS dogs living their best lives! Plus I still get to foster SFS doggos, assist the social media team, and provide pro bono coaching and consulting for leadership when asked!
