I am an outside person to the core. Although I love to read a great book inside on a rainy day, for the most part you will find me out "in it". My favorite activities are body surfing and big mountain hiking. My life has always revolved around athletic pursuits from downhill skiing to white water kayaking with a side of frisbee throwing. I love to garden, cook, read and I am a stained glass artist. I also am constantly looking for ways to reduce water and plastic usage. I am retired from a 42 year construction career.
My long time companion is Angel, a male long haired mixed breed cat. He is 17 years old and still as soft and sweet as ever. My newest companion is Elsie, a retriever mix. She is 5 months old and she is all legs, tail and ears. She and I go to the Del Mar dog beach every morning and do training in between her naps and playtime. I am looking forward to when she can join me on hikes and overnight camping.
I was introduced to SFS by Minette. I am very proud to be a part of such a caring and responsible organization. I think my favorite part about SFS is the deep love and compassion that all of the members have for finding ways to help not only finding homes, but the spay and neuter campaigns.
Generally, I do odd tasks when needed from transports to computer work. I am always ready and willing to take on new things and as soon as Elsie is more grown up I can focus more on a more consistent basis. I am hoping to spend more time in Troncones in the future and assist where I can.
