Born and raised in Manila, I grew up surrounded by stray dogs and cats—an experience that planted in me a deep desire to help animals in need. Now living in Los Angeles, I always keep an extra leash and a few treats in my car, just in case I come across a furry friend who needs help. When I’m not trying to rescue strays, I’m usually immersed in my artistic pursuits as an actor and singer.
Bizzy is my heart. We adopted her from a shelter after she was found wandering a grocery store parking lot, and she’s been the light of our lives ever since. She’s traveled across the country with us and continues to be the perfect adventure buddy and companion.
On a recent trip to Mexico, I saw several stray dogs and instantly wished I could bring them all home. At the airport on my way back, I witnessed Surfers for Strays in action—sending two rescued pups off to their new families. It felt like a sign. At that moment, I knew I needed to be part of this mission. It was truly serendipitous.
