I’m 41, I live with my partner and our two dogs in Los Angeles. I’m a native of Atlanta but been living in LA for almost 20 years so I feel like an Angeleno. I love to surf, take my dogs on hikes and I’m vegan and huge animal lover, making me as Californian as they come! 

I have two dogs that I consider my babies and the center of my world. Suri, my black lab is 5 years old and Milo is approximately 3 1/2. Fun fact about Milo is that my partner and I rescued him from Puerto Vallarta in 2022 while on vacation. It was so heartwarming how the whole community rallied around us to help get him home. We hope to adopt an SFS dog next, when the time is right! 

I’m currently an adoption coordinator covering the California region. I screen and manage applications and conduct home checks and interviews for potential adopters. 

I joined the SFS team in March 2024 as a fundraising volunteer. We didn’t gain much traction on that front but I definitely felt more at home when I transitioned to adoption coordinator. It’s been a while, but I think I came across the organization Online when I was looking to volunteer with a rescue. I think it’s the name that caught my attention first and then the amount of pups that look strikingly like my Milo (those mexi mutts!). :) It’s been such a pleasure working with this org and playing a part in finding loving homes for these sweet pups!
